Erway Ambulance Service is an integral component of Chemung County’s 3 Tier Emergency Health Care Delivery System. 

Tier 1 – 911 Emergency Medical Dispatch

911 Dispatchers are specially trained to answer your emergency call, dispatch First Responders and Paramedics and assist with pre-EMS arrival instructions.

Tier 2  - First Responders

The geographic distribution of Fire Stations allows for a rapid response to medical emergencies throughout Chemung County.  First Responders provide rescue and extrication services, command of the scene where hazardous materials are involved, and initiate procedures such as CPR, oxygen administration and automatic defibrillation.

Tier 3 – Erway Paramedic Ambulance

Erway Ambulance Service Paramedics have the capability to perform many advanced procedures prior to arrival at the hospital emergency room.  Cardiac monitoring and pacing, insertion of endotracheal tubes, defibrillation, I.V. therapy and administration of medications are just some of the procedures performed by Erway Paramedics.
